Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for the day shift in a 20-bed small-format hospital. You will assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Essential duties include documenting accurately, following physician orders, and providing age-specific nursing care while maintaining patient privacy and infection control standards across all procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions required.
• 2+ years full-time ER or related experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS/ALS, and PALS certifications required.
• English fluency; clear written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER, planning and evaluating care.
• Maintain accurate, legible documentation in medical records.
• Monitor patient signs, symptoms, and physiological status.
• Follow physician orders and deliver care per policies and procedures.
• Perform specimen collection and lab testing per regulatory standards.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques throughout care.
