Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for the Day Shift (7A-7P) on a full-time basis at a 20-bed small-format hospital style facility. The role focuses on assessing and coordinating patient care in the ER, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with physicians.

Required are an RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS; ENPC may substitute for PALS. PA-specific clearances may be needed prior to start.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions required.
• 2+ years ER nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS/ALS, and PALS certifications; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency (written and spoken) required.
• PA candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Provide age-specific, developmentally appropriate nursing care.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Follow physician orders and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Collect lab samples and perform tests per policy and regulatory standards.
• Admit, discharge and transfer patients as needed.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic technique in care delivery.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures as required.
