Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a day-shift, PRN position in a 16-bed small-format hospital. Responsibilities include assessing and directing patient care, documenting records, monitoring vital signs, and adhering to infection control protocols.

Requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 2+ years in ER or similar settings. BSN preferred, fluency in English, and ability to work within a team in a diverse environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certs; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document accurately in medical records.
• Monitor patient signs and symptoms and respond to changes.
• Follow physician orders and infection control procedures.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Prepare equipment for procedures and assist as needed.
