Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Clear communication and reading/writing in English required.
• Experience in acute care or EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely communication to the RN about patient observations.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with de-escalation.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Assist in procedures and prepare equipment and supplies.
• Take and record vital signs and measurements.
• Perform EKGs, POC tests, and bladder scanning where applicable; collect specimens for lab.
• Replenish patient and unit supplies and maintain a clean, safe environment.
