Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Demonstrated competency at PCT II level or 1 year acute care/hospital or 1 year EMT Paramedic experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly.
• Medical Terminology knowledge.
• Computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support collaborative work and patient service.
• Problem-solving abilities; remain calm in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations and changes.
• Maintains constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assists in maintaining a safe environment and use de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Assists patients with daily living activities and mobility.
• Follows safety techniques for patient handling and transport.
• Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Attends required meetings and trainings.
• Supports quality improvement in daily operations.
