Job summary

TotalCare is seeking an ER Front Desk Receptionist to deliver exceptional patient service in a high-volume emergency room setting. You will be responsible for check-in, collecting payments, and verifying insurance, while maintaining accurate data in the system.

The role requires strong communication, English proficiency, and computer skills, with EMR experience preferred. You will balance patient flow and ensure a welcoming lobby environment in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Proficient with computers and data entry.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (eClinicalWorks noted).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and transfer to appropriate department.
• Book patient appointments and process walk-ins.
• Confirm appointments for next clinic day.
• Process patient paperwork and collect required information.
• Scan insurance cards and driver's licenses into the database.
