Nutex Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support the emergency center's smooth check-in and check-out, greet patients, collect demographic data, and verify information for billing. You will coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow and maintain accurate records in the EMR, while handling payments and keeping the front desk organized.

The role requires strong communication, solid organizational skills, and a commitment to patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of PSR experience in a Hospital, ER, or Clinic.
• Experience in medical registration, admitting, and scheduling in an ER setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and guests with a cheerful demeanor; determine necessary services; collect demographics and ensure signatures for billing; maintain logs; manage phone inquiries; keep a clean, welcoming environment.
• Financial Responsibilities: Collect payments via cash, checks, and credit card for co-pays and balances; maintain a financial ledger and daily reconciliation.
• Facility Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the facility, including patient areas and restrooms.
• Communication Skills: Interact courteously with patients, families, physicians, and team members; uphold center values.
• Professional Development: Attend monthly staff meetings and engage in performance improvement activities.
• Other Duties: Assist management with additional tasks or projects as assigned.
