BayCare's St. Joseph's Hospital-South seeks a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to support the ER, EDOU, and Administrators on Duty.

This role leads education to strengthen clinical competency, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across teams. The position emphasizes developing and evaluating education, onboarding, competency development, and advancing patient safety and practice advancement while aligning with nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required with at least 3 years of clinical experience in emergency settings.
• Experience in Emergency Nursing or Emergency Department Observation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate education that supports clinical excellence and professional development.
• Facilitate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency development.
• Serve as a resource for evidence-based practice, clinical education, and emergency nursing care.
• Partner with nursing leaders to support patient safety, quality improvement, and practice advancement.
• Provide guidance on competencies, certification opportunities, and professional development.
• Promote engagement, lifelong learning, and continuous practice improvement.
• Perform Registered Nurse functions and other duties as assigned, as needed.
