Job summary
Mercy Health is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to drive clinical education and professional development across departments. You will partner with market leaders to implement orientation, RN residency, preceptor programs, and evidence-based practice initiatives to improve nurse performance and patient outcomes.
The role emphasizes collaboration with operational leaders, program evaluation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting Magnet and Pathways to Excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing and RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related specialty.
- At least 2 years in leadership or professional development projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently.
- Knowledge of MS Office and clinical information systems.
Responsibilities
- Implement system nursing education and professional development programs.
- Support evidence-based practice and nursing research.
- Provide orientation, RN residency, and preceptor program support.
- Monitor and report program performance against KPIs.
- Collaborate with leaders to meet educational needs.
