Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Professional Development Practitioner to lead nursing education, competencies, and professional development. You will coordinate orientation, mentor staff, and drive quality initiatives aligned with ANPD standards.

The role emphasizes evidence-based curricula, collaboration with Clinical Learning, and ongoing assessment of learner outcomes within a hospital education program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an approved program.
• Three years ICU experience required.
• Florida RN licensure required.
• National specialty certification must be obtained within two years of hire.
• Epic and/or simulation training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing needs assessments and formulate educational plans.
• Coordinate orientation for assigned areas and meet with leaders.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives.
• Develop evidence-based curricula per ANPD standards.
• Verify team member competency through practice observation.
• Collaborate with Clinical Learning and leadership to support education initiatives.
