BayCare's St. Joseph's Hospital-South seeks a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to support the ER, EDOU, and Administrators on Duty.

This role leads education to strengthen clinical competency, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across teams. The position emphasizes developing and evaluating education, onboarding, competency development, and advancing patient safety and practice advancement while aligning with nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required with at least 3 years of clinical experience in emergency settings.
• Experience in Emergency Nursing or Emergency Department Observation.

• Facilitate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency development.
• Serve as a resource for evidence-based practice, clinical education, and emergency nursing care.

• Promote engagement, lifelong learning, and continuous practice improvement.

Summary:

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner at St. Joseph's Hospital-South supports the Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU), and Administrators on Duty (AODs). This role develops and leads education that strengthens clinical competency, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across these teams.

Your Role Within the Team:

Qualifications Required:

• Professional organization certification
• ANPD certification
• Emergency and/or observation nursing experience
• Previous education, preceptor, mentoring, or leadership experience
