Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's Emergency Department in Sparks, NV seeks an experienced ED RN for a part-time role (24 hours/week). The position offers a 24/7 operation, comprehensive benefits, and a sign-on bonus for experienced ED RNs.

You will provide direct patient care, triage, monitor hemodynamics, and collaborate with ED physicians to ensure timely, high-quality care. Required NV RN license, 2–3 years ED or critical care experience, EMS background, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

Current NV RN license required.
Two to three years' ED or critical care experience preferred.
Extensive EMS background experience.
Current BLS certification.
ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.
Ability to work in a fast-paced ED and collaborate with a clinical team.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population
Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients. Accurately assigns triage categories.
Ability to monitor hemodynamic status of patient and correctly interpret the results.
