Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a part-time role with full benefits. The position includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a dual clinical and managerial function.

Qualified candidates have 2 years of ED experience, an active RN license, and current BCLS; ACLS and PALS are required within six months, with ENPC/TNCC optional. Learn more at www.northernnevadahealth.com.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across age groups and reassessments as per policy.
• Assesses and reassesses pain; educates patient and family on pain management.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assigns triage categories.
