Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse at North Valleys. The ED operates 24/7 with fast-track triage, imaging, and lab services. The role requires skilled bedside nursing, triage, and collaboration with ED physicians to adapt to changing patient conditions.

Ideal candidates hold NV RN licensure with 2–3 years in emergency care or critical care, plus BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred or CCU.
• Extensive EMS background experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ED and coordinate with the care team.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy across age groups.
• Utilize triage to ensure timely and appropriate care and assign triage categories.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Educate patient and family on pain management and care plans.
