Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's North Valleys ER is a 24/7 department serving all ages. This part-time ED RN role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus for experienced candidates and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ED RN provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department, coordinates care with physicians, and supports flow and patient status changes. Required NV RN license with ACLS/BLS/PALS or within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR two to three years critical care exp OR.
• Extensive EMS background experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care.
• Head-to-toe assessment across pediatrics to geriatrics and reassessments per policy.
• Uses triage to ensure timely and appropriate care and assigns triage categories.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
