Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital’s Emergency Department in Washington, DC, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Level I Trauma Center team. You will provide critical care for acute conditions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN or are enrolled, DC RN license, and have BLS/ACLS/PALS certification with trauma experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or enrolled in program required.
• DC RN license or eligibility required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic ED setting.
• Perform assessments, develop and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and care.
• Participate in quality improvement and research opportunities.
