Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) in Kentucky seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in assigned departments. The RN collaborates with physicians, mentors staff, supports patients and families, and participates in performance improvement initiatives.

Strong assessment, plan-of-care, and SBAR communication are essential. Candidates should have an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), state RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and other required certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Up to 1 year Preferred Minimum of one (1) year acute care nursing experience. Experience with Electronic Health Record Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments, formulates plan of care, oversees implementation and evaluates plan of care.
• Administration of medication, intravenous therapy and treatment as prescribed by a LIP.
• Supervision, delegation and follow-through to other personnel in nursing care.
• Mentors and precepts students and orients new staff as assigned.
• Reports up chain of command to Clinical Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager/House Nurse Coordinator.
