Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The RN will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to provide high-quality patient care across departments.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and relevant clinical competencies; de-escalation training and advanced dysrhythmia/EKG skills are required for telemetry units. A strong emphasis on teamwork and patient advocacy guides daily practice.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required at hire.
• Associate's Degree is required.
• RN license current/active is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; strong problem-solving and teamwork expected.
• Advanced dysrhythmia/EKG training required for Med/Surg telemetry units.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and formulates care plans.
• Administers medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Supervises and mentors staff and students; communicates SBAR handoffs.
• Provides patient and family education; supports discharge planning.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and patient safety.
• Maintains accurate medical records and complies with standards.
