Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) in Kentucky seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across departments, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The RN will mentor students and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Kentucky RN license, BLS, ACLS, and trauma/stroke certifications, with at least one year of acute care experience and proficiency in Electronic Health Records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum one year acute care nursing experience.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record preferred.
• Active RN license in state; BLS, ACLS and trauma/stroke certifications required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments, formulates plan of care and monitors implementation.
• Administers medications, IV therapy and treatments as prescribed by a LIP.
• Mentors students and orients new staff as assigned.
• Participates in discharge planning and transition of care.
• Reports to Clinical Nurse Manager and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
