Job summary

Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to float between Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department units. You will support patient care across both areas on 12-hour shifts, with two weekends per month and rotating holidays.

A strong emphasis on teamwork, patient safety, and compassionate care guides daily responsibilities. The role requires an active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Complete basic dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• ANA sub-specialty ER/Geriatrics certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Patient Care Team to deliver personalized, safe care.
• Serve as a cross-trained RN in Med-Surg and ER; float between units as needed.
• Perform Bedside Shift Report for safe handoffs each shift.
• Engage in hourly rounding with safety checks and patient education.
• Maintain proficiency with EMR and barcode medication administration.
