Fortsmithhospital is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PRN) to support the Emergency Center’s patient flow. The role focuses on accurate registration, cash handling, and maintaining a welcoming front desk environment while upholding patient confidentiality and safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 2 years in a PSR role within hospital/ER settings, with strong communication and organizational skills. ER experience with scheduling is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in medical registration, admitting and scheduling in ER settings.
• Experience with EMR/EHR and hospital front desk processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and staff.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and direct them to appropriate services.
• Collect demographic information and obtain signatures for billing accuracy.
• Process payments (co-pays, balances) and reconcile daily ledgers.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming front desk area and handle phone inquiries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in performance improvement activities.
