Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead a nursing unit in Atlanta. You will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care, coordinate activities, and supervise staff while ensuring safe, high-quality patient outcomes during demanding shifts.

You will assess patient needs, educate team members, and implement emergency procedures as needed. The role requires a compassionate, collaborative leader committed to patient safety, teamwork, and service excellence in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ASN with 4 years' Emergency Nursing experience
• BSN with 2 years' Emergency Nursing experience
• Active & Clear Georgia nursing license or Multistate nursing license
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
• Experience managing high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and service excellence
• American Heart Association (ACLS, BLS, PALS) certification
• Must be an employee in good standing
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care for a unit.
• Coordinate unit activities and assign work to nursing staff.
• Assess, monitor, and educate staff on patient care.
• Delegate and readjust patient assignments to improve throughput.
• Institute emergency procedures as necessary.
