Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care on a unit or shift. The role includes directing staff, assessing patient needs, and implementing emergency procedures to ensure throughput and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will have ASN or BSN with Emergency Nursing experience, active Georgia or multistate licensure, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certification, with TNCC preferred, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ASN with 4 years' Emergency Nursing experience.
• BSN with 2 years' Emergency Nursing experience.
• Active & Clear Georgia nursing license or Multistate nursing license.
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills.
• Experience managing high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and service excellence.
• American Heart Association (ACLS, BLS, PALS) certification.
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a nursing unit or during an assigned shift.
• Coordinates unit activities, assigns work to nursing staff, and ensures throughput, quality, and customer service.
• Institutes emergency procedures as necessary and supports patient safety and service excellence.
