Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care, coordinate unit activities, assign staff, and educate the team to maintain throughput and high-quality patient care.

You must hold an ASN or BSN with ER experience and an active Georgia nursing license (or multi-state). ACLS/BLS/PALS are required; TNCC/ENPC preferred and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• ASN with 4 years’ Emergency Nursing experience
• BSN with 2 years’ Emergency Nursing experience
• Active & Clear Georgia nursing license or Multistate nursing license
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
• Experience managing high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and service excellence
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certification required; TNCC/ENPC preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care and functions in the nursing unit
• Coordinate activities of the unit; assign work to nursing staff
• Assess, monitor, and educate staff on patient care
• Delegate and readjust patient assignments
• Enhance throughput, quality, and customer service in the area
• Institute emergency procedures as necessary
