Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California in San Jose is seeking dedicated teachers to design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom grounded in social emotional learning and restorative practices.

You will collaborate with school leaders and instructional coaches, participate in weekly professional development, and advance equity through anti-racist, culturally responsive teaching that helps all students reach high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Eligibility for teaching credentials or permits is required (permitting PR/Intern permits with CPR prerequisite).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction and support growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management to ensure safety, belonging and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build partnerships.
• Engage in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
