Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to design engaging, standards-aligned lessons and use data to guide instruction. You will integrate Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices to build a joyful, inclusive classroom community that supports all students to thrive.

You will collaborate with school leaders and instructional coaches, participate in weekly PD, and contribute to anti-racist, culturally responsive teaching across the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Holding a valid teaching credential or eligibility for relevant permits is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support growth.
• Foster an inclusive classroom grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Apply culturally responsive management to ensure safety, belonging and high expectations.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders.
• Engage in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
