KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking dedicated teachers to design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a safe, inclusive classroom. The role emphasizes Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices to ensure every student thrives.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to our KIPP Northern California community.
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (required).
• Meet one of the following eligibility requirements: a valid teaching credential in the subject, or eligibility for General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit (CPR certification prerequisites).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build partnerships.
• Engage in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate records (attendance, grades, behavior data).
