Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder seeks an Equity and Compliance Investigator and Case Resolutions Specialist to support the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC). This role involves investigating alleged violations of sexual misconduct and protected class discrimination, educating the campus on policies, and advising on grievance and adjudication processes.

The investigator collaborates with a broad network of campus partners to tailor remedies and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least one year of experience conducting internal investigations into sexual misconduct and/or protected class discrimination and harassment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations by gathering information from complainants, respondents, and witnesses in a respectful, culturally aware manner.
• Collect relevant documents and evidence.
• Analyze information and prepare a final investigative report with findings and policy analyses.
• Develop remedies-based resolutions tailored to the incident to prevent reoccurrence.
• Provide clear information to parties about policies and procedures used by the OIEC.
• Evaluate urgency and determine appropriate actions with the case resolutions team.
• Coordinate referrals to campus and external resources as needed.
• Maintain case files and ensure proper documentation and database entry.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

J.D. with coursework in employment or civil rights law
