Job summary

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks an Investigator & Educator, Equity & Compliance to join Social Equity & Inclusion. The Civil Rights Investigator & Educator conducts prompt, neutral investigations under Title VI, VII, IX, ADA/504, and the Clery Act, while supporting prevention, outreach, and education programs for the RISD community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–2 years’ investigations experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification in Title IX or civil rights investigations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and Title IX conduct with neutrality and impartiality.
• Interview parties and witnesses, gather evidence, and document findings.
• Prepare written investigation reports with findings of fact and procedural history.
• Provide timely case updates to involved parties and coordinators.
• Assist in education, prevention, and outreach programs related to bias and compliance.
• Collaborate with campus offices to ensure consistent, fair investigations.
