Job summary

LevelUP HCS is seeking a Manager, Equity Compensation in a hybrid role spanning Lake Forest, IL or Downtown Chicago. You will oversee the administration of equity programs, ensuring accurate processing, strong controls, and audit readiness.

In this role you will partner with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, Accounting, and external vendors to manage the full equity lifecycle, drive process improvements, and implement automation to enhance efficiency and the participant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of equity compensation administration experience in public company or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of RSUs, PSUs, stock options.
• Understanding of equity-related tax, payroll, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with stock plan administration platforms and integrations with HRIS and Payroll.
• CEP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of equity compensation programs (grants, vesting, exercises, releases).
• Ensure equity activity is accurate, timely, and compliant with policies, tax, and regulatory standards.
• Manage relationship with external stock plan administrator, SLAs, testing, and system enhancements.
• Oversee data integrations between equity platform, HRIS, and Payroll.
• Support equity-related tax withholding, reporting, and deposits with Payroll.
• Investigate discrepancies across equity, HRIS, and payroll data; improve reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Accounting, SOX, and Audit teams on controls and reporting.
• Maintain documentation for internal and external audits related to equity compensation.
• Develop reporting/dashboards for equity activity, utilization, and key metrics.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and strengthen controls.
• Provide education materials and resources to employees and executives.
