Job summary

CAT in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Equipment Rental Specialist to coordinate rental transactions, order pickups and deliveries, and provide exceptional customer service. You will enter data, prepare quotes, and work with sales, transportation, credit, and service teams to finalize contracts and invoices.

You will educate customers on proper equipment use, maintain accurate records, and uphold safety and policy standards while meeting deadlines and ensuring a smooth rental experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or related experience in transportation or rentals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret general business material and procedures.
• Ability to prepare reports and procedures and present information to groups.

Responsibilities

• Complete rental transactions and coordinate pickup/delivery of rental units.
• Collect and enter all required rental information accurately.
• Consult with customers to determine rental rates, contracts, and transportation needs.
• Recommend products and services to customers.
• Prepare and assist with rental quotes.
• Collaborate with rental coordinators, sales staff, transportation, credit, and service teams to ensure paperwork is complete.
• Create, edit, invoice, and close rental agreements using WCAT rental software.
• Track inventory and resolve discrepancies.
• Seek out-of-the-box solutions when needed.
• Obtain credit PO requirements from internal credit department.
• Ensure COD and CAT Commercial accounts are maintained.
• Transfer and track equipment between stores as needed.
• Follow check-in/check-out procedures for units in the yard.
• Document lost rentals and invoice as needed.
• Perform cold calls to potential rental customers.
• Invoice rental fuel, maintenance, damage, and transportation costs.
• Instruct customers on safe use of equipment.
• Maintain a positive customer service attitude and prompt communication.
• Adhere to company policies, safety policies and procedures.
