Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking an Equipment Manager to lead the equipment department and ensure high readiness for multiple heavy civil projects in the Arizona region. You will own capital expenditure decisions, optimize asset utilization, and partner with project teams to develop tailored equipment strategies.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, DOT knowledge, and experience with HCSS tools. A commitment to safety and continuous improvement will be essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Ability to delegate, schedule, and manage time across multiple tasks.

• Understanding of DOT regulations across western US states.
• Familiarity with HCSS Suite of Services (HCSS Dispatcher, etc.).
• Experience with collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Visualize, fulfill, and implement the vision and values of the equipment department.
• Maintain a safe work environment in line with safety policies.
• Evaluate processes and structure; implement changes to improve results.
• Own the capital expenditure strategy for all equipment.
• Optimize fleet and equipment utilization across the company.
• Identify idle/unproductive equipment and decide on sale, rebuild, or reallocation.
• Lead and develop the equipment team, driving engagement and outcomes.
• Generate equipment rates for projects and bids.
• Collaborate with project teams to set project-specific equipment strategy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
