Job summary

TIC Inc is seeking skilled equipment operators to support road maintenance and construction projects. You will operate various heavy equipment to excavate, load, haul, and grade materials while ensuring safety and efficiency on diverse surfaces.

The role may include training co-workers in proper operation and safety procedures. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment and performing routine maintenance, communicating with supervisors, and adhering to project timelines and safety rules in

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with management/supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way, including loading, hauling and dumping on smooth to extremely rough surfaces.
Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
Check and maintain all fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
Instruct and train employees in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools and in job techniques and skills.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors, defects, or other problems.
