Job summary

Memphis Shelby County Schools seeks an Equipment Operations Specialist to provide operational coordination and technical administrative support for the Equipment Operations Department across district facilities. You will maintain maintenance documentation, tracking, vendor coordination, asset records, reporting, and compliance to ensure efficient equipment operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 2+ years in equipment operations, asset management, or work order coordination (total education/experience of six years with equivalent).
• Experience coordinating maintenance and purchasing processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail for records, invoices, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track maintenance activities and work orders.
• Validate, reconcile, and track invoices for service records and purchasing documentation.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventory, lifecycle records, and warranty data.
• Prepare equipment specifications to support purchasing and replacements.
• Maintain organized records for contracts, invoices, and compliance.
• Reconcile monthly expenditures and assist with budget forecasting.
• Assist with collecting quotas, drafting specifications and vendor compliance for cafeteria equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
