Job summary

Gibraltar US, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Equipment Engineer to support day-to-day administration of the company’s equipment and vehicle fleet in Texas.

The role involves maintaining asset records, coordinating scheduling, and assisting with purchases, onboarding, and project setup. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with strong Excel skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams, vendors, and field personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Automotive Technology, Diesel and Heavy Equipment, or a related field preferred.
  • Construction, heavy equipment, fleet, automotive, or related experience is preferred but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates with strong organizational and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate equipment, vehicle, and asset records.
  • Coordinate equipment scheduling, transfers, transportation, and project needs.
  • Assist with equipment purchases, onboarding, and new project setup.
  • Support preventive maintenance planning and tracking.
  • Track equipment costs, budgets, work orders, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage vehicle titles, registrations, renewals, and related records.
  • Monitor telematics data and help resolve reporting issues.
  • Prepare equipment utilization, cost, and management reports.
  • Assist with rental equipment coordination and tracking.
  • Communicate with project teams, vendors, Accounting, and field personnel.
  • Travel to job sites as needed.

Job description

The Equipment Engineer supports the day-to-day administration and coordination of the company’s equipment and vehicle fleet, helping ensure assets are accurately tracked, properly maintained, available when needed, and cost-effectively managed. This entry-level role works closely with Equipment Management, project teams, Accounting, vendors, and field personnel and is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership and grow within equipment operations.

What You’ll Do
