Job summary

City of Memphis seeks a Property Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of journeyman craft workers across multiple trades. You will evaluate project requirements, assign skilled staff, and ensure work aligns with Shelby County Code Enforcement and OSHA standards.

You will coordinate maintenance schedules, determine equipment and material needs, and maintain work orders and billing records for City facilities, while supporting disaster preparedness through emergency planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and seven (7) years of construction experience, with four (4) years in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a specific group of journeyman level craft workers (Plumbers, Electricians, Painters, AC, Refrigeration Technicians, Roofers, and Carpenters).
• Evaluates projects to determine requirements and assigns workers as needed.
• Coordinates maintenance schedule and orders materials; maintains work orders and billing records.
• Establishes preventive maintenance programs for City facilities.
