Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Equipment Specialist (Non-Traveler) to support day-to-day operations and build strong customer relationships. The role works with Project teams, Equipment Facility teams, Buyers, and ESM HQ Leadership to manage equipment processes.

Responsibilities include processing orders, sourcing equipment, generating POs, reconciling invoices, and leading equipment reviews. Travel up to 100% and Lean/5S initiatives are key aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 1+ years of rental equipment or related experience, or 2+ years in the same area.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; professional customer service.
• Ability to travel 100% and manage multiple customer needs.
• Experience with purchasing/rental processes and procedures; strong planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Process equipment facility orders and returns per procedures.
• Source equipment internally and via 3rd party rental/services.
• Generate purchase orders for equipment purchases and rentals.
• Reconcile billing of contracts, invoices, and work orders daily.
• Support electronic and physical Inventory Management.
• Lead Pre-Mob meetings with site leadership and monthly equipment reviews.
• Support LEAN / 5S initiatives; work with EF craft teams.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and vehicle ordering.
• Handle DOT registration and driver inquiries.
• Participate in equipment facility safety program and Zero Injury policy.
