Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Associate Equipment Specialist - Traveler to support day-to-day operations of the Equipment Solutions group. The role involves managing processes for project teams, Facility Teams, Buyers, and HQ leadership, with 100% travel on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities include sourcing equipment, handling orders and returns, generating purchase orders, reconciling invoices, and maintaining inventory across sites. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of rental equipment, construction, or related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Active listening and receptive to feedback.
• Must be able to travel 100%.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for receiving and processing equipment orders and returns.
• Source equipment internally and via 3rd party rental/service suppliers.
• Generate POs for equipment purchases and rentals.
• Reconcile billing for contracts, invoices, and work orders daily.
• Support electronic and physical inventory management.
• Update task codes and off-rent dates based on project input.
• Produce inventory reporting and ensure data quality.
• Reconcile fleet invoicing with accounting and vendors.
• Provide equipment solutions and maintenance recommendations.
• Build relationships across diverse teams.
