Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain tool performance in a high-volume semiconductor fabrication environment in Phoenix. You will focus on uptime, reliability, and fast response to alarms while collaborating with facilities, vendor, and manufacturing teams.

The role also involves installing and qualifying new tool sets, pursuing hardware enhancements, and supporting night shifts and on-call duties as needed to ensure continuous production and overall equipment effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical-related or semiconductor processes preferred.
• Numerical analysis, statistics, optics, chemistry, or physics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment performance in clean room environment for quality production.
• Troubleshoot alarms on duty and on-call as needed.
• Install and qualify new tool sets according to schedule.
• Identify root causes and resolve critical equipment issues.
• Improve tool uptime and reduce defects.
• Pursue hardware capability enhancements.
• Develop defense/monitoring to prevent hardware failures.
• Manage vendor relationships and liaise with facilities and manufacturing teams.
• Night shifts, weekend on-duty, and 24/7 on-call coverage as required.
