Equipment Engineer — Semiconductor Fab Uptime Specialist

Job summary

TSMC Arizona in Phoenix is seeking an Equipment Engineer to sustain tool performance in a high-volume fab. You will troubleshoot alarms, install and qualify new tool sets, and drive uptime while addressing complex equipment issues on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities include vendor coordination, liaison with facilities, and potential ERT duties. Night shifts and compressed work weeks may be required; travel is limited. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in semiconductor equipment engineering is a strong add.
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and on the factory floor.
• Willing to work compressed work weeks and night shifts as needed.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to lift weight following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment performance in clean room for quality production.
• Troubleshoot alarms during on-duty shifts.
• Install/qualify new tool sets per scheduled plan.
• Find root causes and resolve critical equipment issues.
• Improve tool uptime and drive defect reduction.
• Manage vendor relationships and liaison with facilities & manufacturing.
• Prepare for Emergency Response Team duties if required.

Education

Bachelor in Electronics/EE or Mechatronics

Semiconductor process knowledge

1+ year SEM equipment experience
