Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Failure Analysis Equipment Technician to promptly respond to tool alarms, diagnose issues, and recover equipment in a 24/7 high-volume semiconductor lab. You will work with engineers to improve workflows, assist with new tool installations, and coordinate with facilities and vendors for SAT and utility hookups.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) or BS in Science.
• Basic PC skills (Windows OS and MS Office).
• Familiarity with maintenance and inventory tracking.
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience operating analytical instruments (FIB, TEM, SEM, SIMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on failure analysis lab equipment (FIB, TEM, SEM, SIMS, OM).
• Troubleshoot and escalate tool issues to minimize downtime following SOPs and vendor guidance.
• Support new lab startup, installation and SAT coordination with Facilities and vendors.
• Inspect construction field for layout, floor load, and equipment clearances.
• Coordinate utilities routing with FAC teams and contractors.
• Safety walks and ensure compliance with TSMC safety standards.
• Assist in lab instrument hookup and commissioning with SAT.
• Inventory tracking of consumables and spare parts using LIMS.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and process optimization.
• Provide production and analysis support as needed.
• Adhere to PPE protocols and maintain 6S housekeeping.
