Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. The role combines clinic and inpatient/EMU epilepsy practice with access to a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory and advanced diagnostics.

You will collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, pediatric care, and research teams to advance epilepsy treatment, education, and patient outcomes. Board certification in neurology and an epilepsy fellowship are preferred.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Ohio medical license or eligibility.
• Interest in teaching and resident education.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in clinical innovation, technology and the continued advancement of epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% epilepsy care within the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute (clinic and inpatient/EMU).
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, pediatric care and research teams.
• Engage in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Contribute to development of advanced epilepsy diagnostics and surgical pathways.
