Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH seeks an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute. This full-time role blends clinic and inpatient/EMU epilepsy care within a broader neuroscience program.

Board-certified or eligible in neurology with epilepsy fellowship preferred; candidates should be committed to teaching, research, and innovation as Summa collaborates with NEOMED and Akron Children's Hospital.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Interest in complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care.
• Current Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in clinical innovation and technology in epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% epilepsy care in a mix of clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery and related services to optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in teaching, research and education initiatives within the Neurosciences Institute.
• Participate in program development with NEOMED and regional partners.
