Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute in Akron, OH. This 100% epilepsy practice includes a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory and access to advanced diagnostics and surgical pathways.

The role emphasizes collaboration with neurosurgical partners, multidisciplinary care, and opportunities in teaching, research, and program development within Summa Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Preference for an experienced epilepsy physician with interest in complex care.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ohio or eligibility to obtain one.
• Interest in teaching, resident education, and lectures.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in clinical innovation and technology in epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized epilepsy care in a mix of clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
• Collaborate with neurosurgical partners on epilepsy surgery pathways and research.
• Leverage Summa Health's neuroscience network to coordinate care across services.
• Engage in teaching and resident education within NEOMED affiliation.
• Contribute to program development and advancement of epilepsy diagnostics and treatment.
