Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. The role combines clinic and inpatient/EMU epilepsy care with access to an expansive neurophysiology lab and advanced diagnostics in a system committed to innovation.

Ideal candidates will be board-certified/eligible in Neurology with an Epilepsy fellowship, and a track record in complex epilepsy management.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Interest in complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care.
• Current Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Interest in teaching and resident education.

Responsibilities

• Practice is 100% epilepsy with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
• Mix of clinic and inpatient/EMU settings with opportunities for research and education.
• Collaborate with neurosurgical partners on epilepsy surgery and participate in OR activities when possible.
• Support development of pediatric-to-adult epilepsy transition pathways and coordinate with regional partners.
