Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks an Epic Willow Specialist to support day-to-day operations, optimize workflows, and implement system enhancements across Willow Inpatient and Ambulatory modules.

The role requires Willow certification and 3+ years of Epic/health IT experience, with cross-functional collaboration across pharmacists, clinicians, and IT teams to improve medication management and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in IS, Healthcare Admin, Pharmacy, or related field
• Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Willow certification preferred/required for Willow Inpatient and Willow Ambulatory
• 3+ years of relevant application support or healthcare IT with degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience supporting Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory in healthcare
• Experience analyzing pharmacy workflows and translating requirements to system solutions
• Experience with testing, upgrades, change management, incident management, and optimization
• Experience collaborating with pharmacists, providers, nurses, and operations on enhancements/ implementations

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize Epic Willow applications (Inpatient/Ambulatory)
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, and IT to analyze workflows
• Evaluate releases, upgrades, and functionality for clinical/business outcomes
• Perform workflow assessments, gather requirements, and develop test plans
• Provide application support, incident resolution, and change management
