Job summary

Resourcing HQ in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced IT professional to drive Epic strategy and enterprise support. You will analyze operational needs, establish technical standards, and lead cross-functional teams to implement secure, HIPAA/FERPA-compliant solutions.

This role emphasizes collaboration, roadmap planning, and security training participation to protect patient data. On-site at our Birmingham location, you will mentor teams, influence technology configurations, and ensure alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; work experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Create frameworks for planning, designing and documenting system functionality and changes.
• Set standards and best practices to ensure that work quality meets customer needs.
• Foster collaboration for system changes and issue resolution by bringing together all stakeholders.
• Mitigate systemic risk through build processes, system analysis and monitoring of system performance.
• Assist with creation of roadmaps for system functionality and timelines for major projects.
• Lead projects across functional teams and business leaders to determine the most appropriate technical strategy.
• Serve as a technical expert within the organization on system development and maintenance, data management and system support.
• Maintain professional accountability to support quality and patient safety efforts and alignment with enterprise strategic priorities.
• Builds and maintains partnerships within the organization. Engages stakeholders to understand requirements, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

To employ broad knowledge to guide application team members on strategy, innovation, and collaborative support of Epic. To lead efforts to analyze operational needs, utilizing industry guidelines and best practices, to establish requirements and technical standards to achieve enterprise goals. To serve within organizational teams and provide insight on technology configurations as well as process impacts. To commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
• Epic certification in area of support or certification obtained within 12 weeks of completing Epic training with no more than two (2) testing attempts required.

Position Specific Skills

Knowledge of Professional Billing build and workflows. Epic PB Certifications preferred.
