Job summary

You will also train staff, interact with physicians and managers, and provide direct patient care under supervision. Flexible scheduling and strong data-entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program is required.
• 5 years of scheduling and clinical experience is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Proficiency with data entry, Windows applications, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Expertly schedules patients using Epic Optime and community hospital workflows.
• Supports providers and completes medical/legal documentation during encounters.
• Trains scheduling staff and other medical assistants as needed.
• Delivers excellent customer service by documenting calls with patients.
