Job summary

The New Braunfels Chamber seeks a Credentialed Trainer I to lead training delivery for Epic applications, ensuring end users can use the system effectively. You will work with Principal Trainers, informatics staff, and system leaders to tailor training to approved workflows.

Role requires classroom preparation, on-site support, and ability to create training materials and job aids. A background in healthcare education and experience with adult learners is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• One+ year of experience with education. Healthcare industry education preferred.
• Preferred experience with adult learners, in-person, and virtual training

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and teach classes required for the successful implementation and adoption of the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with end users and Principal Trainers to ensure build, training, and support is aligned with approved workflows.
• Collaborate with Principal Trainers to ensure coverage for all scheduled classes and support.
• Prepare classrooms and ensure materials are printed and available; keep rooms organized and clean.
• Maintain classroom information on online learning modules; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide onsite end user support through rounding and other support activities; identify needs and propose improvements.
• Work with provisioning team to ensure associates complete required training before access is granted.
• Review Visio workflows and map to EHR documentation.
• Create and customize job aids using approved templates and style-guides.
• Attend meetings, produce deliverables on time, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Complete job shadows, deliver training, and build end-user confidence.
• Advocate for end users by relaying issues or opportunities for improvement to Principal Trainers.
• Test and troubleshoot the Training and build environment.
• Deliver training content including eLearning and learning dashboards.
