Job summary

CHRISTUS Children’s in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Credentialed Trainer I to deliver training for Epic applications, support end users, and collaborate with clinical informatics and education teams. You will ensure end users are proficient and comfortable with the designated EHR, while maintaining updated training materials.

The role requires organizing classes, preparing materials, and providing on-site support during implementations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in education, preferably healthcare education.
• Experience with adult learners, in-person and virtual training.

Responsibilities

• Help plan, organize, and teach classes required for successful EHR implementation and adoption.
• Collaborate with end users and Principal Trainers to align training with approved workflows.
• Ensure coverage for scheduled classes and support in coordination with Principal Trainers.
• Prepare classrooms and materials, keep environments organized and clean.
• Maintain accuracy of classroom information on online learning modules and ensure completeness of content.
• Provide onsite end user support through rounding and participation in associate fairs; identify support needs.
• Work with provisioning team to ensure users have completed required training before access is granted.
• Review Visio workflows and translate processes into EHR documentation.
• Create job aides and training materials using approved templates and style guides.
• Attend meetings, deliverables on time, escalate issues appropriately.
• Complete job shadows, deliver training, and build end-user confidence.
